Coronation Chicken...No! Gnomes!!

Firstly, apologies that this week’s blog is running behind schedule (totally unacceptable I know)! Loads of activity at Jezza HQ this week, with more pages added to my new tome, which I will tell you more about in the coming weeks suffice to say the plot is developing nicely and writers block has been avoided for now at least! Filming for the podcast continues and I am being reassured that we will be ready for take-off at the end of April. Next week, I am hosting a memorial event for my late dad, who sadly developed Alzheimer’s in his later life. The condition is sad to watch take control of a loved one and so difficult to cope with for both those who have Alzheimer’s and those who care for them.  I am going to be dedicating a fair bit of my charity time this year to supporting the Alzheimer’s Society and the amazing work they do.  I will start by celebrating my dad’s life and all his achievements with a host of guests who represent his life journey with guest of hono...

I don’t know about you, but this week felt like I’ve been an extra in the movie ‘Evan Almighty’ , the rain has been relentless, and the Beeb kindly informed us that it’s been the wettest March since 1981 (no kidding)!  Thankfully, I took up kayaking a few years ago to help improve my mental health, so the kayak has been strategically positioned this week just in case I needed to paddle my way out of a flood.  The rain has finally stopped, and the sun is working overtime to remind us that it is always there fighting for supremacy with Mother Nature and her playful behaviours’!  I’m glad it has stopped lashing down, as my woodwork skills wouldn’t run to the construction of an Ark… in all honesty my schoolboy woodwork classes didn’t exactly equip me for a life as a Master Carpenter!  If truth be told everything I crafted during those lessons ended up receiving special attention from the teacher and his automatic planer 😊 I give thanks for the wonders of this tec...
