On the line...

  It’s been a busy week here at The HUB .  The Team have had me working on my new podcast, which launches in April with the imaginative title ‘Boarding Now’ .  I know, but taking the AvGeek out of yours truly is easier said than done!  The podcast will include guests, travel items, music and chats about the events happening around the globe that affect us all.  We plan to produce it every month, so keep an eye out for the release of the first episode. In between sorting the podcast content out with the fab creative people here, I’ve been adding pages to my new book, a novel, which hopefully will prove to be a good read.  More about this as it nears publication, for now the plot remains top secret partly because I’m still fine tuning it as I write the chapters (fatal I’m sure). They do say that what goes around comes around, and I must confess that whilst walking around my local supermarket yesterday hunting for eggs, I was left thinking I’d been propelled back to Eastern Europe in the late 80’s, where communism had entered its twilight years and shelves in shops were bereft of the necessities of life.   Runaway inflation was taking its toll on the average citizens at the same time as a small group of people joined an exclusive club of billionaires. It got me to thinking about where we find ourselves at this moment in time, with industrial relations in a very bleak place, an economy that seems to be challenging most of us and is leaving too many people cold and hungry! Is this really the stuff of the 1 st World?   Seemingly the answer to this is sadly yes!   Are we now paying the cost of Brexit or the COVID Pandemic, or can we blame the soaring cost of energy and food entirely upon the actions of Vladimir Putin in the Ukraine?   Let be...
